Pendle Hill

What a better place to spend Halloween than with your paranormal buddies in a ghostly and ghoulish Lancashire beauty spot, where a notorious witches coven was rounded up 400 years ago for the Pendle witch trials.

The trials of the Pendle witches in 1612 are among the most famous witch trials in English history, and some of the best recorded of the 17th century. The twelve accused lived in the area surrounding Pendle Hill in Lancashire, and were charged with the murders of ten people by the use of witchcraft.

ELIZABETH AKA LIZZY [THE HAUNTED DOLL]

Elizabeth "Haunted Doll"

When it comes to haunted objects, especially haunted dolls my thoughts are generally, they are just a word touted around to make the item more desirable for purchase in a circus of a market.

I do believe a majority of objects deemed as haunted are in deed nothing more then just objects. A minority of haunted items could have attachments; and by that, I mean a spirit could have an attachment to an item, in the same was it does to a building or a location.

Todmorden Unitarian Church

Standing outside this huge Gothic church was enough to make me forget about the 2 1/2 hour nightmare drive I had to endure to get here.
Along with Spookology, we investigated this grade 1 building. On the night we had full investigation rights to the cellar, bell tower, and the church itself.

Betty Kenny's Tree

Last night myself and Charlene ventured into the depths of Shining Cliff Woods. A long trek in complete darkness our destination was this 2,000-year-old tree inspired the nursery rhyme “Rock-a-bye Baby.” Deep within the Shining Cliff Woods stand the splintered remains of an ancient yew tree known as Betty Kenny’s tree. Centuries before vandals set the mighty plant ablaze, the roughly 2,000-year-old tree inspired a nursery rhyme still crooned to infants today.

It’s not that often you get the chance to join a more scientific based investigation, so this was a spontaneous investigation with Paranormal Scientific Investigators – PSI and Paranormal Hauntings based at a Freemasons lodge.

I arrived early met the guys from PSI and promptly went for a wander around the inside of the building. 4 main areas available on the night for investigation

Wentworth Woodhouse

With a few of my friends from Spookology we decided to join a large public event at Wentworth Woodhouse. Wentworth Woodhouse, standing in a park of 250 acres & situated about four miles from Rotherham, with its East Front of over 600 feet & its courts & buildings covering three acres or more of ground, is ranked as perhaps the very largest of the country palaces; on the surface it sounds the perfect place for a investigation?
